Co-creators of MASA: Yiwen & Shanti

🌟 MASA 3 Half-Day Retreat

Details and registration will be available soon.

MASA is an integrative format co-created by Yiwen & Shanti in March 2026. It combines four modalities: Movement, Acupuncture, Sound, and Ayurveda, applied both simultaneously and sequentially. The goal is to support nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and deep restorative rest through experiential sessions (workshops and retreats).

Movement

Participants are guided through gentle somatic movement practices including shifting balance, spinal mobility, joint articulation, and simple coordination exercises, with awareness of natural breathing. The focus is on observing habitual movement patterns and releasing tension in the neck, shoulders, back, hips, and knees, supporting functional ease, coordination, and embodied postural awareness in everyday movement patterns.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture supports nervous system regulation by stimulating Acu points associated with parasympathetic pathways, informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine and neuroscience. It is performed by Yiwen, a licensed acupuncturist, using medical-grade sterile needles, and is gentle in nature. It helps reduce stress, tension, and anxiety while supporting the flow of Qi and emotional balance. For a needle-free option, acupressure seed stickers are available.

Sound

Sound therapy uses vibration and sound frequencies, including the gong bath and other therapeutic instruments. Through brainwave entrainment, the sounds guide the mind from active beta states into alpha, a state of relaxed awareness, and gradually into theta, associated with meditation, insight, and restorative rest. In MASA, acupuncture and sound are experienced simultaneously, working in harmony to promote deep relaxation and wellbeing.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda, meaning “the science of life,” is a holistic system from India that supports health through daily rituals and living in harmony with nature. It promotes physical, mental, and emotional balance while encouraging a deeper connection with body, mind and environment. Each session includes a seasonal Ayurvedic ritual, such as golden milk, a seasonal snack, or tongue scraping, offering simple practices that integrate awareness into daily life.
